Treasures From the Attic

“Treasures from the Attic” is a show-and-tell session – in-person at the Presbyterian Heritage Center or via Zoom meeting. The PHC will host four (4) such sessions over the next few weeks. The Show-and-tell will be on Wednesdays, 10:30 – 11:30 am on May 19th, 26th. June 9th and June 23rd.

You can just watch or participate by bringing your own artifact to share with the audience. The PHC will bring some items from its artifacts and archives collection to also share.

On May 19th, it will be general items related to Montreat and Presbyterians.

On May 26th, the PHC will share some of its American Civil War artifacts and photographs, although viewers can bring any item to share.

On June 9th, the PHC will share Congo and Congo mission objects – we have one of the largest Congo cultural collections in the U.S. Once again, attendees to the session can bring their own item on any topic.

On June 23rd, we will share Inkling fiction and fantasy books, currently on display – C.S. Lewis’ Narnia series; J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and other works, and Dorothy L. Sayers’ Lord Peter Whimsey detective novels.

We hope you will find these meetings entertaining and educational. Look forward to seeing you at one of the “Treasures from the Attic” sessions in May or June.
